“Umuntu Ngumuntu Ngabantu”

I Am, Because We Are.

This quote encapsulates the African philosophy of Ubuntu, emphasising that individual identity is deeply interconnected with the community and relationships with others.

Humanity towards others in our community as a collective.

Our vision is to provide safe and secure housing, as well as helping to reduce the vulnerabilities associated with housing insecurity, such as isolation and marginalisation.

Through positive engagement, our goal is to support individuals with their own personal targets. These can include any and all of the following:

  • Seeking Employment

  • Furthering Education & Training

  • Developing their independent living skills (Support with learning to cook, clean, budgeting etc)

  • Finding long term/permanent accommodation

  • Accessing local community resources (ie GP, Opticians, Local Support Groups and Services)

  • Applying for any benefits the individual may be entitled to.

We believe in the importance of Respect, Integrity, Providing an Inclusive Service to all Ethnic, Religious, Gender and Sexual backgrounds, and aim to offer our residents kindness, compassion and hope for a positive future.

Working with each individual who enters our Service, we will set Short and Long term goals, aligned around interconnectedness and mutual support within the community, while addressing the root causes of their housing insecurity.

We aim to address each individual’s basic needs upon arrival, with the provision of shelter, hygiene products, and other basic essentials for ensuring Dignity and Safety.
